Tester Congratulates Flathead County’s Cameron Kahle on Acceptance to the U.S. Air Force Academy

Senator nominated Kahle and 18 other Montanans for Army, Navy, Air Force, and Merchant Marine Academies’ classes of 2025

U.S. Senator Jon Tester congratulated Columbia Falls’ Cameron Kahle today on his appointments to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Cameron is a golf team captain and varsity lacrosse player at Whitefish High School. He is a 2-time DECA state champion, Muldown Mentor, and member of Leaders of Tomorrow, Key Club, the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, K-12 Connect, Chess Club, a Run for H.O.P.E. student organizer, and a Whitefish High School Student Ambassador.

“Each year, I have the honor of nominating the best and brightest our state has to offer to our nation’s prestigious military academies, and it’s a duty I take very seriously as Montana’s senior senator,” said Tester. “Cameron has proven himself an exceptional student, community member, and leader and I wish him all the best as he continues Montana’s long legacy of service, I have no doubt he will make us all very proud.”

Tester nominated Cameron-along with 18 other Montanans-in December based on their academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and commitment to serving and leading in the United States military. A nomination from a member of Congress is the first step in students’ applications to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Montana students who are interested in applying to a military academy in the future can request a nomination from Tester HERE.
