Tester Announces New Bozeman Veterans Clinic Location

Senator fought to secure new, modern facility twice the size of existing clinic to better serve Montana veterans and VA staff

U.S. Senator Jon Tester announced today that the new veterans Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) will be located at 1101 East Main Street in Bozeman. As Ranking Member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee and member of the Appropriations Committee, Tester fought to secure this new facility to better serve Montana’s veterans and the dedicated staff who provide their care.

“I’m excited to announce that Bozeman is on track to receive a new, state-of-the-art facility to serve veterans in the area,” said Tester. “I look forward to the completion of this new clinic, which will provide a wide-range of services to veterans who have sacrificed a great deal on behalf of this nation.”

Tester was the first member of the Montana delegation to announce this new, 12,000 square feet clinic for Bozeman in May. The clinic—which is twice the size of the existing facility—will offer Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Laboratory, and Telehealth services to veterans. The project is expected to be completed by summer 2021.

Tester has been working relentlessly in Congress to improve and expand veterans' access to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care. He introduced the bipartisan Build, Utilize, Invest, Lease, and Deliver (BUILD) for Veterans Act to expedite Congress’ approval process of VA medical leases and provide the Department with the tools to facilitate construction, leasing and refurbishing of facilities across the country. He also led the call in urging VA Secretary Robert Wilkie to streamline the Department’s process of awarding construction projects and leases.
