Tester Secures Nearly $15.5 Million For Mountain-Pacific Quality Health in Helena

Funds will help Mountain Pacific Quality Health improve quality and access to care in Montana

U.S. Senator Jon Tester announced $15,426,135 in Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) funds for Mountain Pacific Quality Health in Helena.

Mountain Pacific is one of 14 Quality Innovation Network Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) across the nation established by CMS to bring Medicare beneficiaries, providers, and communities together to increase patient safety, improve community health, and better coordinate care for seniors. This grant will allow Mountain Pacific to continue improving care across Montana and several other Western states.

“Mountain-Pacific Quality Health is critical to helping folks in Montana receive the highest quality care at the lowest cost,” Tester said. “Every Montanan deserves access to the services that will keep them healthy and safe, and these funds will help Mountain-Pacific ensure Montana’s health care system continues to work for our seniors.”

Mountain Pacific is a non-profit organization that works with health care providers like hospitals, physicians, nursing homes, and home health agencies to improve the quality of services and treatments provided to patients. They also work with the state’s Department of Public Health and Human Services to authorize certain health care services and equipment for Montana’s Medicaid recipients. This new grant will ensure that Mountain Pacific can continue to work with Montana’s health care providers to ensure that every patient receives the right care at the right time.

Senator Tester is a steadfast champion in the fight to ensure access to quality, affordable care for all Montanans. He recently announced $900,000 for 12 Montana Community Healthcare Centers (CHCs) and is leading the fight in the Senate to ensure that CHC funding is reauthorized.
