Tester Secures Grant to Ease Snow Removal at Ennis-Big Sky Airport

$350,000 to Extend Equipment Life, Keep Montanans Connected

(U.S. Senate) - Snow removal at the Ennis-Big Sky Airport will soon be a lot easier, thanks to a grant delivered by U.S. Senator Jon Tester.

The grant, worth $350,000, will construct a building to house snow removal equipment, making the job easier and extending the life of the equipment. Tester was the only member of Montana's delegation to vote for the bipartisan agreement that provided the money through the Federal Aviation Administration's grant program.

"Anyone who's been to Ennis in the winter knows just how snowy things can get," Tester said. "This grant will make winter flying in Madison County safer, boosting tourism and keeping folks connected throughout the year."

Tester's #ConnectMT initiative has given a boost to air travel across Montana. He recently secured a grant worth $383,695 for snow removal equipment at Bert Mooney Airport in Butte, and last month delivered over $20 million in grants to airports across the state.
