Tester: Montanans Need to Know where Kavanaugh Stands

Senator Releases Statement as Supreme Court Nominee's Confirmation Hearing Begins

(U.S. Senate)-U.S. Senator Jon Tester today issued the following statement on the opening day of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

"I will be paying close attention to see how Judge Kavanaugh answers tough questions during this week's hearing, and I look forward to meeting with him very soon. Montanans need to know where Judge Kavanaugh stands because there is a lot at stake with this important post."

Tester remains in contact with the White House to schedule a face-to-face meeting with Kavanaugh as soon as the White House will allow.
