Tester Secures $45,000 For Deer Lodge Airport

Infrastructure Investment to Boost Local Economy, Help #ConnectMT

(U.S. Senate) – As part of his ongoing effort to invest in rural infrastructure and #ConnectMT, U.S. Senator Jon Tester recently secured a $45,000 grant for the Deer Lodge City-County Airport to update its Master Plan.

Tester was the only member of Montana’s congressional delegation to vote for the bipartisan agreement that delivered the money though the Federal Aviation Administration’s grant program.

“Montanans rely on airports to support the economy, provide better access for life saving flights, and connect families,” Tester, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, said. “Investing in local infrastructure will help Deer Lodge support local businesses and ensure folks get where they need to go.”

Tester’s #ConnectMT initiative has yielded big benefits for Montana’s rural airports. The Senator has delivered over $20 million in grants to renovate and expand runways, install safety equipment, and improve air travel across the state during the last month alone.
