Tester Approves Three Nominees to Serve Veterans at VA

Nominees Head to Senate Floor for Final Approval

(U.S. Senate)-Ranking Member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee Jon Tester today voted for three nominees to serve veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs, sending their nominations to the Senate floor for final approval.

“We need to get these folks to work at the VA reducing the backlog of disability appeals, ensuring veterans receive proper burials and modernizing the VA’s operations,” said Tester. “I look forward to a full Senate vote on Mr. Reeves, Ms. Glynn and Ms. Mason very soon.”

The Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee voted unanimously in support of the following nominees:

  • Randy Reeves, Undersecretary for Memorial Affairs nominee
  • Melissa Sue Glynn, Assistant Secretary for Enterprise Integration nominee
  • Cheryl Mason, Chairman of the Board of Veterans’ Appeals nominee

Each nominee was recently screened before the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee. Prior to that hearing, Tester sat down with each nominee to review their resumes and ask them tough questions.
