Tester Launches #Montennial Tour to Engage Montana Millennials in Policy

Senator Kicks Off Statewide Initiative to Hear from Young Adults

(Missoula, Mont.) – Senator Jon Tester today announced that he is kicking off his statewide #Montennial Tour to hear from Montana millennials about the issues that are important to them.

Tester’s tour will hit college campuses, coffee shops, and local businesses from Fort Peck to Fort Benton.

“My haircut might scream 1950s, but I know that our country needs to make progress for the next generation and what better way to do that than to cultivate millennials who can lead the way,”
said Tester. “It is time for folks in Congress to begin listening to the next generation of leaders. I will be traveling all across the state meeting with Montennials about college affordability, civil rights, access to health care, the economy, campaign finance reform, climate change. Any issue that they want to talk about, we will have the discussion.”

Tester announced that he will be hosting an online town hall on November 30th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm where he will take questions and comments from Montennials via Facebook and Twitter.

Tester was joined at today’s kickoff by ASUM President Sam Forstag, UM Law Student Lillian Marie Alvernaz, and OULA Fitness Owner Kali Lindner.
