Tester on North Korea: We will not tolerate their behavior

(U.S. Senate) – Senator Jon Tester released the following statement after voting to place additional sanctions on North Korea for its recent nuclear weapons testing:

“By passing this critical legislation, the U.S. Senate is holding North Korea accountable for its aggressive actions. We will not tolerate their behavior, and these new sanctions will make it harder for North Korea to further develop its nuclear weapons program. Working with our regional partners, we have to remain vigilant and strong as we ensure the security of the American people and our allies.”

The sanctions bill passed the Senate 96-0 and now goes to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
