Tester announces $3 million for Montana water projects
Senator sits on Appropriations subcommittee that funds water projects
(U.S. Senate) - Senator Jon Tester today announced nearly $3 million in Army Corps of Engineers grants for Montana water projects.
Montana communities use these Army Corps grants, which are made possible through the Water Resources Development Act Section 595 program. The grants can be used to upgrade wastewater treatment facilities, water supply infrastructure, environmental restoration, and surface water resource protection and development.
Tester, who sits on the Appropriations subcommittee that funds water projects, said this funding represents a critical investment in many Montana communities.
"Montanans know the importance of clean water to the health of our communities and our outdoor way of life," Tester said. "This Army Corps funding will allow communities across the state to meet the needs of their residents and plan for future growth."
