Tester honors 43rd Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

Senator reaffirms support for women’s access to care

(U.S. Senate) – On the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark Roe v. Wade decision, Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement reaffirming his support for women’s access to health care:

“Forty-three years after the Supreme Court guaranteed a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions, the fight is far from over. Despite violent attacks on health care facilities, dangerous rhetoric, and defunding efforts in Congress, I will continue to stand with Montana women.”

Tester last week visited Missoula’s Planned Parenthood clinic to show his support for the women’s access to care following another Congressional attempt to defund the organization.
