BILLINGS (AP)— A Colstrip company is getting $2.7 million in stimulus money to construct a one-megawatt wind turbine.

Colstrip Electric Inc. will construct the turbine in at the border station in Pembina, N.D., making it the first in the United States to be fully powered by renewable energy.

CEI plans to break ground on the wind turbine early next year.

The stimulus funding was announced Wednesday by U.S. Senators Jon Tester and Max Baucus.
