Tester’s bipartisan bill to streamline hiring and save taxpayers’ money passes out of committee

(U.S. Senate)-Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after his bipartisan Competitive Service Act unanimously passed out of the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.

“This bill will reduce costly duplication, save taxpayers’ money, and make it easier for folks who are dedicated to public service to find jobs. I’m pleased that the Competitive Service Act has passed out of committee and I urge the Senate to quickly move it forward so we can strengthen the federal workforce as they serve the American people.”
