Middle school students from Target Range School in Missoula met today with Sen. Jon Tester in Washington, D.C. The students traveled to D.C. for their end-of-the-year trip.

Tester answered many questions from the students on domestic and international issues. According to a press release they asked about universal pre-kindergarten education in Montana, provided ideas for improving the Department of Veterans Affairs and asked about the recent elections in Ukraine.

“These students blew me away with their knowledge of current events and the depth of the questions they asked,” said Tester, a former teacher. “You hear a lot of pundits say that kids today don’t care about what is happening in the world around them. Well, Montana students, especially these kids from Target Range, prove that simply isn’t the case.”
